Am I right in saying that 2014 has flown by?

I started Inspire MySmile earlier this year and rather than making it a site solely for music I decided to explore and include other arts related features so now Inspire My Smile feels more like a brand. I have a few more ventures to dig in to next year, so keep supporting and I will continue to inspire your smile.

I have heard lots of quality music this year from various artists, lots of creativity has spiralled  and I would like to say a massive THANK YOU!! to everyone that  do read the features. To all the readers all over the world please continue to visit Inspire MySmile and spread the word.

To readers, please note that the following lists are based on what has been the best songs throughout 2014 and it was not categorise on the top 20 or in any particular order.

I would also like to pay a tribute to my favourite singer-songwriter reggae veteran legend Sir John Holt, who sadly passed away back in October at the age of 69. Born in Kingston, Holt first rose to fame as a member of The Paragons in the 1960’s, a group in which he penned the classic track ‘The Tide is High’

As a child I grew up on John’s music with ‘Morning Of My Life’ and ‘I’ll take a Melody’ being one of my childhood favourites. Holt was a crucial figure in Jamaican culture and known for his smooth ballad-styled sounds. Sir John Holte will be missed and Inspire My Smile will forever cherish his music.

Exploring Liverpool

From this window The Liverpool waterfront has changed dramatically since the days of transatlantic slavery. The three famous 20th century Pier Head buildings stand on the site of George’s Dock where the slave ships bound for Africa loaded their goods. The two docks, in front of the Great Western Railway building, were built-in the 18th Century.
